Description

A labor insertion company in textile reuse and recycling managed by the CADISAN Foundation and the Diocesan Caritas of Santiago de Compostela. The social purpose of Arroupa is the integration into the labor market of individuals at risk or in situations of social exclusion by providing them with paid employment and the necessary training and support to improve their employability and facilitate their access to the regular job market. This is achieved through environmental services such as textile waste collection, sorting and treatment, environmental education training, marketing of used clothing, management of social clothing donations to vulnerable groups, and training and job orientation and mediation projects.

Arroupa is a partner of Moda re-, a non-profit social initiative cooperative promoted by the Confederation of Spanish Caritas, which, within the framework of the Social and Solidarity Economy, is dedicated to the complete cycle management of used clothing: collection, preparation for reuse, recycling, donation, and sale.

Services
  • Collection and Pickup Service: Waste transporters offering installation, maintenance, and emptying services for used clothing collection containers to various municipalities and private entities.
  • Sorting and Preparation for Reuse and Recycling Service: Tasks involving sorting, preparing clothing for reuse, and recycling with the aim of reintroducing them into the production process by transforming them into new fibers.
  • Sales and Social Delivery Service: Second-hand clothing stores and surplus stock, as well as providing assistance to individuals participating in the Social Delivery Program aimed at supporting people in various vulnerable situations through clothing donations.
