The Federation of Associations of People with Physical Disabilities of Pontevedra (COGAMI PONTEVEDRA) was legally established on March 3, 1989. It is the most representative entity within the associative movement of people with disabilities in the Province of Pontevedra. It consists of 17 associations of people with disabilities.
At the regional level, it is part of the associative structure of COGAMI (Galician Confederation of People with Disabilities), and at the national level, it is a member of COCEMFE (Spanish Confederation of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities).
Information and Advice: Its purpose is to provide information and advice to individuals or entities directly or indirectly related to disability.
Strengthening and Consolidation of the Associative Movement in the Province of Pontevedra: The ultimate goal of the service is to address the needs of people with disabilities through a network of associations aimed at solving their issues, demands, and requests. It also aims to establish itself as a point of reference for member entities in the province.
Comprehensive Care for People with Disabilities: The aim is to promote that individuals with disabilities in the Province of Pontevedra are able to achieve a more autonomous and independent life through prevention activities, physical rehabilitation, speech rehabilitation, social care, leisure, sports, social participation, and awareness-raising activities.
Volunteering: Consolidation of the volunteering network and participation.
