Con Artritis-Santiago, a Delegation under the National Arthritis Coordinator, the main objective is to advocate for individuals with rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, and spondyloarthritis, with or without physical and organic disabilities. This is approached from a healthcare, social, occupational, and family perspective, by guiding and providing them with relevant information, documentation, and advice.
Guidance and Advice: Involves providing information and guidance about the disease and its impact on work, family, social life, etc. The focus is on adapting to the disease so that the quality of life remains unaffected. Offering arthritis patients not only informational support but also emotional support is crucial, creating a space for patients to connect, share experiences, insights, knowledge, and learn from their own experiences and others’.
Awareness and Outreach: Through talks, informational booths, engaging with media outlets, etc., to raise awareness and disseminate knowledge about the condition.
Sociocultural and Health Activities: Organizing healthy leisure activities, such as cultural excursions, spa retreats, and physical activities.
Legal Services: Providing legal advice on matters related to the disease.
