Liepaja is the third largest city in Latvia and the tenth largest in the Baltic States. Liepaja City Municipality Central Administration provides all the municipal services to the residents, while ensuring the execution of the decisions made by the city council. The municipal administration is divided into several departments, each of which is responsible for its own area. Currently the Community Outreach and Health Promotion Unit has upscaled its activities in the field of youth, community paticipation and active citizenship, launching several local initiatives and projects. These initiatives are designed to support NGOs, and create an open platform for communication between the youth, local community and city council/administration.
