Non-profit organization established in 1996 by a group of individuals suffering from Parkinson’s disease and their family members in the city of A Coruña, with the aim of enhancing the quality of life for those affected by this illness and promoting their integration into family, social, and work life through:
· Information and guidance
· Specific and manageable rehabilitative therapies
· Raising awareness in society
· Information and Guidance: Providing information about the disease to both affected individuals, their family members and/or caregivers, and anyone seeking it.
· Rehabilitation Services: Aimed at enhancing the quality of life. This includes group and individual physiotherapy, in-home sessions, pilates, stretching and relaxation techniques, group and individual speech therapy, cognitive stimulation, handwriting exercises, clinical psychology, and social work.
· Training: Providing education about Parkinson’s disease and caregiving guidelines.
· Volunteer Area: Various programs such as companionship, leisure and free time activities, awareness and informative outreach, support, and collaboration.
· Leisure and Free Time: Offering diverse programs and activities for leisure and free time, involving both patients and their family members.
· Outreach and Sensitization: Through the website, social media, annual reports, activities, event organization, and campaigns, among other methods.
